Custom Bronze Plaque

When you need a badge, you have a few decisions to make. Here are the 5 questions and answers you need to know before buying aboard that will last into the next millennium.

Materials: There is 2 most common materials are brass and bronze. In other cases glass is also an alternative.

- Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc that melts at around 900 ° C. Brass is used exclusively for doorknobs, plumbing, dressers, and plates. It's yellow like gold

- Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin (with trace elements of silicon and manganese) that melts at around 950ÂșC. This is a more durable option and good for use on boats or on the beach. You can see this material in boat accessories, accessories, bearings, sculptures, and plaque. It is reddish.

Techniques: the 3 common ways to make Custom Bronze Plaque are

- Engraved plaque. The engraving process allows us to achieve the highest level of detail in the metal. Use a photomask that includes the etching solution and leave areas that are intact and others are removed. The longer the etching solution remains on the metal, the deeper the removal. It is extremely accurate. It is the best option for very small letters and photos. Incredible “picture perfect” precision is used in museum displays, name plaque, dedication and head office recognition. They are durable and can be used outdoors.

- Cast plaque The metal is usually bronze. In some cases, cast aluminum may be available. The Sand mold is made with the text and graphics. The mold can made by use of wood or a polymer. Once the material is made, a fine sand/epoxy mixture is poured around and over the pattern. This is called "investment." The pattern is packed and removed, leaving the pattern image in the sand. Molten bronze is poured into the pattern, cooled, and then the rough plaque is formed. This unique appearance, may have a sand texture, curves and requires patterns to make the pour flow.

 - Precision machined plaque We use computer  pattern letters and other features in 3D. By bringing this pattern to a CNC router, we translate it into a machine-readable form. Starting with a blank sheet of metal (1/4 ", 5/16" thicknesses are common), we use a CNC router to cut out the parts that are not needed. This has a different look and feels compared to etched or cast Custom Bronze Plaque

Brass and bronze Custom Bronze Plaque are ideal for contractors, architects, landscapers, and corporate clients. They are used in churches, synagogues, government buildings, schools, historic buildings, parks, universities, monuments, and dedications.
